Harry Bertoia considered nature to be his strongest influence. This is most apparent in his welded plants, sculptures of bushes, trees and flowers. Bertoia worked out of a restored barn on his property in rural Pennsylvania, where he felt inspired by nature. The present work is a magnificent example of one of Bertoia’s bush-type sculptures.  It is notable for its undulating form, beautiful green patina, its density and scale.
